Sustainability during production and of the product is one of the main focuses of TEKA Parquet. In fact, the factory is both FSC® and PEFC certified to underline that the wood, used to produce TEKA engineered hardwood flooring, comes exclusively from sustainable managed forests or from local plantations. Chipped wood coming from production will be used as combustible and left over wood or flooring with small damages will be sold to local buyers instead of throwing the material away. The glue, the oil and the lacquer, needed for production, come from longtime suppliers and meet highest economical standards.
Choosing an engineered hardwood flooring is the right decision with regards to the environment because wood preserves resources, is climate-friendly due to low emission, long-lasting and value preserving. The decision for a wooden floor is therefore an active share in the protection of the environment because the building material wood will always be available in a sustainable managed forest.
